iseg is offering an OPC server for bigger systems running via CAN interface (OPC = OLE for Process Control). Fast and safe data communication can be set up for this Windows based systems using the basic technologies of Windows (DCOM).The OPC server describes the instrument parameter, setting, control and monitor as so called items. Using any application software (OPC clients) the access methods which have been defined in the OPC protocol allow to have access to these values. Especially the advantages of the client/server technology are important, the transparent use of networks, the use of several and different clients and the placing of access rights. A configuration tool, which supports the configuration of the hardware (CAN interface in the PC and iseg HV Power Supplies) is part of the OPC server.
Releases:
Release 4.00
Has successfull completed the OPC Compliance Test at softing AG, Haar near Munich.
- OPC Engine DA 3.0
- new namespace, look at "isegHVOPCServer.pdf"
- extended item properties
- new configuration tool to handle the files "isegHVOPCServer.ini", "EHQ32156Srv.opc" and "ECHx38Svr.opc"
- using the new client "isegHVOPCUserNameSpace" an ASCII file ("isegHVOPCUserNameSpace.nsp") can be generated, which is a mirror of the actual used namespace. This file can be used as initial version of a customer specific namespace. (look at "isegHVOPCUserNameSpace.pdf")
Release 4.02
- delete of the items „Alarm“ and „Alarm Information“ only by a special action
- number of digits of Vmeas and Imeas is defined in configuration file „.\cfg\Res.cfg“
- Improvements in the handling of multi-voltage modules (module with channels that have different maximum voltages)
Release 4.03
- modifications in the handling of multi voltage modules
Release 4.04
- implementation of INHIBIT function for device class 7
Release 4.05
- modifications in data types
Release 4.06
- integration of multi channel CAN I/O CIOFxx.
Release 4.07
- integration of new OPCTOOLBox 4.10 (Killing of bugs regarding device class 0 )
- support for the new EHS Multi-Channel HV modules
(support of the device class 4)
- the write-only items are now read/write.
- some bits of the status_channel item have been changed from read-only to read/write to perform controlling tasks
- the item canx.mtyy.chzz.On has been removed
- the item group canx.crateyy.<ITEM> now has a fix structure with 2 digits yy (also for crates with CAN nodes lower than 10).
"isegCANHVControl" for all modules and crates to have the full
functionality! (see operator';s manuals of modules and crates also)
To have the full functionality of the "isegHVOPCServer" since release 4.10
